This is my first post on my first attempt at a blog. I will be posting updates on my music whenever I compose anything worthwhile. I'm only comfortable sharing guitar and key songs that I write, so no lyrics for now.

Currently, I have written a few songs which I believe would be good enough to put on my debut record. Although, I don't feel like being a solo artist, mainly due to me not being a vocalist, and also I would need other instruments, such as bass and drums.

One song, which is one of my first, is quite simple, and consists of a few chords, however, I have written a myriad of synth parts to it, which is an important reason in having a band, because I can't do both at the same time. I first came up with the basic three chords of the song in about June of 2018.

The next songs were written much more recently.
The next song, in drop D tuning, which was first thought up of  around October of last year, and makes heavy use of delay and chorus, as well as a wah pedal fully pressed down, and the tone knob at zero, which creates an aquatic sounding atmosphere. The main chunk of the song itself, is played by playing the first three strings of the e minor pentatonic as if it were in standard tuning, but its not, so its an e minor pentatonic with the bottom string played a whole step lower, and this alternates between that, and the bottom string being played one and a half steps lower.

The next song is from late December/early January, and is heavily made up of a constant riff, played with a clean, dry tone, which helps it sound more like desert rock than amything else. It's a simple melody, but a strong, and effective one altogether.

Next, is an acoustic song, and I imagine this one to be the song that consists solely of acoustic guitar and vocals. It's in open d tuning, and is fingerpicked for a lot of the song's duration. Typically, the solely acoustic song on an album has a meloncholly mood, and is one of the more downer songs on the list, but this, in my opinion, is one of the more cheerier pieces that I've written. It was composed earlier this week

This next song was birthed today, and on the overall tracklisting, it would be next to the previous song, most likely before it. It consists of an arpeggio, which I'm too lazy to find out which arpeggio it is, and so far, has an intro, verse, and chorus, with maybe an ending? I haven't decided if this will be a guitar song, or a piano song, but I can see it working well as both, and whatever it comes to, a second version of the song could be released, but on the other instrument.

For the synth, I have written a few songs for that, but not as many have stood out to me as on the guitar. I have a couple in mind that could work so far.

The forest song, which would have birdsong introducing the piece, and a smooth, relaxing track following it. There's also the song based upon the storm, and that was thought up by using the noise filter on the synth, which can be used to create the sound of a wave, crashing upon the shore, and by using the cutoff, resonance and envelope, a wind sound can be made.
